Gearsoft is a company dedicated to provide software solutions to support the daily activities of asset managers and fund managers by presenting their portfolio data in an efficient and comprehensible way.

Gathering data is easy.
Hundreds of different companies offer all kinds of data from financial to commercial.
Organizing data in an efficient way is complicated and time consuming.
Our goal is to make the user comfortable with the control of his financial portfolio by supplying a suite of easy, yet very powerful tools, that keep the portfolio position and risk up to date in real time throughout the day.

Gearsoft is a company made by traders and asset managers, for traders and asset managers. At Gearsoft we know what an asset manager’s needs are, how he wants to see numbers, and how important it is to keep things simple in order to act quickly. A simple user interface doesn’t mean a simple calculation. Our user interface allows you to perform complex calculations quickly and easily.

At Gearsoft we strive to see things from the user’s point of view. We design our applications based on the specific needs of fund and asset managers and develop trading support systems to make their lives easier.

Gearsoft products are developed for the Windows platform. Two products are currently offered: @Value Ex, developed with Microsoft Excel, and @Value, a stand alone local application. Any financial application needs a large, reliable database and pricing source. The Gearsoft choice for all data needs is Bloomberg. The strong, dynamic Bloomberg API tools interact perfectly with Gearsoft products.

Giovanni Sada, founder of Gearsoft, has been a propietary trader for 10 years, trading in interest rate options, currency options, exotic options and derivatives in general.
From 1997 through 2010 he has been an asset manager responsible for the start-up of three asset management services.
Always involved in developing Excel spreadsheets to support his activities and those of other desks, he started writing what became @Value Ex in 1998. A simple spreadsheet at first it grew into a full application for position keeping and risk monitoring.

In 2008 the idea of making @Value a commercial product for professionals built the foundation of Gearsoft.
The Gearsoft vision is to provide a suite of easy yet powerful tools for the needs of the financial community. @Value is the first suite of Gearsoft products, but others are currently under development.

Gearsoft is dedicated to working in close contact with its clients, collecting their needs and implementing those needs to make the use of its applications as rewarding as possible.
